Body of Glass by Marge Piercy (1991)
This is a vision of the future of the Internet and artificial intelligence in
a hostile world. Piercy is a great writer.
The Turing Option by Harry Harrison and Marvin Minsky (1992)
Interesting collaboration b/w an established SF writer and one of the big
names in AI. Logo gets a mention. This is not as well written or as exciting as
Piercy's book but of course with Minsky collaborating the speculation about the
future of AI is very interesting and based much more on what might actually be
possible.
Just in case you run out of things to do in your holidays ;-)
