Bill Kerr posted a message about MW's volume being too soft on his computer.

Bill,

What brand of sound card do you have? Non-Sound Blaster cards are not
supported by MW (even so-called "Sound Blaster Compatible", which most often
are not).

If you do have a "real" SB, does it have mixer capability? If it does make sure
the volume of "voice" (or "wave") and "midi" are set at a high enough level.
Also make sure that on the input side, your "microphone" is also set high
enough.

Notice that since MicroWorlds is a DOS program, and not a Windows program,
you have to use the DOS mixer as opposed to the Windows mixer.

One last thing: the sounds on MW are intentionally softer than most other
programs, but nowhere as soft as you describe, making me suspect a mixer
problem.

Good luck!

Dan,
LCSI Tech Support.
