Hi to all

Thank you to all those people who responded. We tried creating one
turtle to be both lungs and simply enlarged and shrunk it by using
SETSIZE. That worked really well and for the life of me I don't know
why I didn't think of it. I was rather embarressed when I read that
solution. <g>

Augusto and Gary suggested using LAUNCH. Augusto gave me
a procedure which would wave two flags simultaneously. My group
of kids and I used this procedure to help us. This is what we wrote;

to wave
repeat 20 [setsh 35 wait 5 setsh 36 wait 5]
end

to flags
t1, setsh 35
t2, setsh 35
launch [t1, wave]
launch [t2, wave]
end

Now that worked well too, but when we tried to do this with our
inhaling and exhaling of lungs, one lung always seemed to be
fractionally behind when it was increasing its size or decreasing its
size. What we need to do is launch those two turtles at exactly the same
time. We tried:

launch [t1, wave t2, wave]

but it completed t1's instructions before doing the t2's

I must say, we had loads of fun this afternoon thanks to all those he
gave me suggestions. The kids have all gone home with plenty
more ideas. Thanks.

I will look at all the other options tonight. But before I go, is
there any way to launch a number of turtles at the same time?

Bye for now
