I haven't used Visual Basic. My question would be what has VB got that modern
versions of Logo like MicroWorlds don't ? I like Logo because it has a very
powerful underlying educational philosophy (Constructionism) and a research
community at MIT that is continually pushing at the cutting edge of how we
learn ...... hence the new products like *Logo, accompanying literature by
Mitch Resnick and co., the programmable brick the size of a deck of cards etc.
>We do have Object Logo but there is no (learning) support for the
>intermediate user, the only logical audience for this language.
I do wish the Logo community would get its act together and get out a DOS or
Windows version of Object Logo. I'm not inviting a rehash of all the old
comparisons of Mac v. PC, it's just that 70%+ of the machines out there are
PC's, so why cut ourselves out of that share of the market. I just don't
understand.....
