its words play sweet to my ears!! I teach math in an elementary school in Italy (the organization of the school in Italy is very different: I work for 5 years with the same class, from the first year up to the fifth year) and in the class I have always had two or three children or EH (Emotionally Handicapped) or HD (Learning Disabled) and I also do not agree with these labels. I can confirm that my experience is really very similar to yours. My experience differentiates only because the students are more young; and I work with them (the first times) a lot with the body.
