I would like to extend my warmest wishes for the Holiday Season and a Happy New Year to all logo fans. I attached a small present made by one of my students just today. They (7th graders) had an assignment to design a 3D-toy for a New Year tree. I think, this one isn't bad. Also, I'd like to say special thanks to George Mills. These 3D tools in MSWLogo are just wonderful. My students have a great fun building boxes and rotating shapes. I can't say they are the smartest students in the world, but they are doing very well with it. And, it's a great fun for me too watching them bowing and rotating their heads (and bodies) as if not a turtle but they should pitch down and roll right. :-) With best regards, Olga Tuzova. PS Here are the codes for the toy. Many things could be corrected/improved there, but it just as the boy wrote his program. to 3d cs perspective setsc [0 0 0] setturtle -1 setxyz 500 500 500 setturtle 0 setpc [255 255 0] ht fig end to fig downpitch 90 rr 90 repeat 72 [figa uppitch 5] end to figa repeat 4 [duga1 duga2 rt 90] end to duga1 repeat 180 [fd 1 rt 1] end to duga2 repeat 180 [fd 1 lt 1] end
