MLC appears to be as close to an ideal contructionist learning environment as one could hope for in a school. David Loader's leadership, large amounts of staff development, and the continuous, personal access to computing resources by students and teachers must be very suppportive to those working in constructionist ways. This should also be an ideal environment for Logo. Yet from the outside it does not appear that Logo has a very special place at MLC. The MLC website description of the computing program lists MicroWorlds as one of three multimedia authoring packages. Is MicroWorlds or other Logo software used in different ways, say for building simulations, or for explorations in mathematics and language, or in ways that don't happen anywhere else? -Michael Michael Tempel Logo Foundation 250 West 85th Street New York NY 10024 212 579 8028 212 579 8013 http://el.www.media.mit.edu/logo-foundation/ --------------------------------------------------------------- Please post messages to the Logo forum to logo-l@gsn.org.
