Did the plain version of penrose work? The only difference between
the two versions of penrose is one additional line(immediately before 'end')
in each of procs 'large and 'small.
As a check I pasted penrose(coloured)(from Logo-L message)into MSWlogo.
Penrose 120 4 ran as expected.
All I can suggest is a transfer error. Almost certainly an 'np got deleted.
If the line: np rp rp
is run then your error message is produced.
