Hello Logoites, The Jewish world is celebrating these days Hanuka, in memory of the Great Revolt against the Greek conquerers some 2000 years ago. One of the symbols of this feast is the Light. Jews all over the world light every evening, for eight days, the Menorah, which has eight candles and a Server Candle (Shamash). Here's a recursive program to draw an 8-candle Menorah. Please note that the base of the Menorah is not part of the recursive design, so I left it's code out. ======================= to main ; Menorah cs ht setpensize[2 2] setpc 4 do 64 4 end to do :size :level if :level<1[stop] fd 15 lt 60 fd .7*:size rt 60 do :size/2 :level-1 lt 60 bk .7*:size rt 60 rt 60 fd .7*:size lt 60 do :size/2 :level-1 rt 60 bk .7*:size lt 60 bk 15 end ======================= You can find this image, together with several recursive images, on my site at: http://www.beitberl.ac.il/~shafee/hpage.html Regards, [[Yehuda]]
