You might find portopen/portclose/portreadchar/portwritechar easier to work with. Where you can just write or read bytes to COMn: However someone just reported a bug on portreadchar in the Win32 flavor which I have fixed in 6.2c but have not released yet (I will soon). Meanwhile you can test things out using the 16bit version. You might also check out MMLogic (see same web site as MSWLogo) which lives and breathes real time control.
