LOGO-L> Instructional issues in using LOGO

Hi!

I am presently participating in a European project called MEDIAKIDS
(Multimedia for kids aged 8 - 10). Participating are the university
of Barcelona (Spain), Cologne (Germany, that is me, Karl Steffens),
Leiden (Netherlands), Lissabon (Portugal), and Nottingham as well as
a computing company in Italy, a publishing house in Spain and primary
 schools in the countries involved.
One of our aims it to develop a multimedia computer program that will
help students in primary school learn about geometry. I do not know
much about LOGO, but from what I have read it seems that many of the
pedagogical ideas behind LOGO (self-monitoring, for instance) might
also be useful for a multimedia program.
QUESTIONS:
Is there anything that I can read on the educational philosophy
behind LOGO?
Do you have any ideas concerning our project?
I would be please to hear from you.
