LOGO-L> CSLS

Greetings

I am currently working my way through Chapter 2 of vol.1
Computer Science Logo Style. One of the best things
about it is the pictorial analysis of how the procedures
relate to each other in an instruction. There are input
hoppers at the top, with an output pipe at the bottom.

One of the instructions that was illustrated with a hopper
diagram is:

(print word bl "hard word bl bl first [very hard] last first [extremely
hard])

Whew! At first, this was a real mind-bender for me. But
as I studied the diagram, and followed it, it began to make
more sense... until I finally came up with one of my own,
based on the above instruction:

to confuse
(print word bl bl first [melo- dramatic] word bl bl first [vino drinker]~
last first [bon vivant])
end

Please excuse me if this is considered off-topic. It took me
quite a while to get the hang of it. I was even able to make
a hopper diagram of it, which really helped. In a way, the
piping of these procedures reminds me of the way Unix pipes
commands: the output from one command becoming the
input for another.

Obviously, these are baby steps. So don't laugh too hard! <g>
