Its interesting that the Coombabah government school experiment in intensive began at the same time as MLC. After a 4 year trial (at Coombabah) which by all accounts was successful this innovation was not continued. Good logo teachers then migrated over to the Private system. This is a good example of how hopeless government bureaucracy is.
