Hi Everyone
Many thanks to all who responded to my problem transfering projects between
mac and pc. I can now do it!
Sometimes very simple solutions to very simple problems are not obvious.
Firstly I was able to open the pc version on the mac without importing.
Secondly I tried opening the document from within the program as you can do
with mac and pc versions of word.
Thirdly when I tried opening the mac file on the pc it would not let me so
I changed the file name to include .mw2 so it would be similar to the pc
version This enabled me to open an empty project with the error
message....getting closer I thought.
Lastly believing it must be a method of saving or creating a project such
as creating a new project size I was searching the vocabulary help menu for
a "saveproject as" type solution rather than an export import.
Also I discovered the next day after I sent the request for assistance, a
help/ read me file on the installation CD which discussed the
issue....ooops.
I'm sure we all remember that time(s) as a new computer user we have asked
"really dumb" questions...like Where is the "Any" key? (press any key to
continue) but ...
if you have tried all your strategies and been confronted with a brick wall
and if then you don't ask, you don't learn.
Cheers and many thanks again!
Richard
