I don't need any convincing as to the quality of MSW logo. And I don't 
doubt that you get lots of downloads for all over the place.
My original query though was in a similar spirit to Chuck's question 
about the reasons behind choices; software selection choices, and design 
choices by software builders.
My example about the 'laptop schools' had nothing to do with 
'Australianness'; in a formal school setting where every child has their 
own laptop and there is an explicit intention that the medium for the 
expression and exploration of the curriculum is the computer, MicroWorlds 
is the overwhelming choice. And it's not an either/or with MSW any other 
logo, it's a choice ahead of HyperStudio.(ok, HyperStudio is logo too, 
but I'm trying to locate this dialectic on a spectrum).
