Couldn't agree more with your comments. Good point about the power saving features being the reason they dropped the switched outlets. The K6 is one of the highest bang for the buck chips. At least a few months ago it was. SCSI is also great and can make a huge difference in performance on disk intensive applications (like compilers, which moves 40-80 meg worth of data every MSWLogo build over a period of 2 minutes or so). REAL tape drives only come in SCSI :-) But SCSI is SO expensive (it's quite an adicting bad habbit). It's to bad not everyone uses it, because it would make it a lot cheaper and life a lot simpler.
