LOGO-L> logo language

Hi,
We are teaching students from a uni in Melbourne Australia. We are enquiring about the use of the logo language as a support to various theories of learning.  We understand that the children/adults using the program will need to have a grasp of logical thinking, simple instructions and visual imagery in order to develop projects on the program.  However we have been searching for some information regarding the advantages and or disadvantages in helping chidren to learn.  If possible is their any information availiable regarding our question in mind?????
