Hello colleagues. I have been using LOGO for many activities over the last few years, but I have recently been asked to assist some Junior Maths teachers to use LOGO in the junior maths curriculum. I have not had much experience with this level of maths teaching, so, while I can understand the LOGO side of things, am not sure how the LOGO can be implemented with some of the junior maths topics. I wonder if anyone can suggest some ways LOGO can be used to focus on these topics: * congruency * scientific notation * trigonometry (using TAN) * pythagoras * algebra (power notation) I use MicroWorlds for Windows 95, but realise the LOGO code is similar across the board. If anyone is able to assist with some ideas or some procedures, I would be greatly appreciative. Thank you.
