Here is a little trial and error time saver for setting activearea.

mouseon [make "p1 mousepos] [make "p2 mousepos setactivearea (list (item
1 :p1) (item 2 :p1) (item 1 :p2) (item 2 :p2)) mouseoff] [] [] [show
mousepos]

Click down on lower left and let go on upper right.

You could easily add a "PenReversed" bounding rectangle as you move the
mouse.
You can also make it smarter such that you can go from any corner to any
corner.
