A circular spiral can be a series of half circles with each half circle getting a little bigger. Start with a small half circle, then another half a little bit bigger etc. You can also think of it as a series of quarter circles with each one getting a little bigger or a series of eighth circles etc etc. But the simplest case would be to think of it as halves that are increasing.
