Someone invited me to write a paragraph on MSWLogo for the Logo Exchange but I read my mail in 3 places and I'm currently on the road and the place I read this message is not available to me. I hope you get this message and thanks. I hope it's not to late for the deadline. ===================================================================== What is MSWLogo? It's a version of Logo that is a joint effort between Brian Harvey (University California Berkeley) and George Mills (Softronics, Inc.). MSWLogo's goal was to bring the language up to date by enhancing the language to handle Graphical User Interfaces and Event Driven Programming. By enhancing the language students can learn how and feel as they can build a windows application that looks and behaves much like other windows applications they are familiar with. With these enhancements a student can build multimedia games that use animation, sound, networking and more. However MSWLogo does not do anything for you, you must learn the same concepts any windows programmer learns but all in the spirit and ease of Logo. If you have not seen MSWLogo lately check out version 5.3 always available at http://www.softronix.com. Don’t let the fact that MSWLogo is free deceive you. -- =============================================================== George Mills email: mills@softronix.com http://www.softronix.com The www page contains some very powerful educational software. Our single most important investment is our kids. --------------------------------------------------------------- Please post messages to the Logo forum to logo-l@gsn.org.
