Yehuda's reply doesn't exactly accomplish what I wanted, since I really 
intedned that there will be known, predefined sequence of colors - with 
the last one being white (to erase the segment). 

You should also note that I didn't wnat the color of lines to change with 
each new line - nut only when the line is traveresed. This is the curcial 
point!
