To do a True Windows .EXE you need "C" (Visual C++) or "Pascal" (Delphi/Turbo Pascal). These take quite some time to learn. Next closest thing is Microsoft Visual Basic. You can make ".EXEs" with it but it's not a true .EXE you have to carry some other baggage (part of Visual Basic Engine) along for the ride. Some other "Visual Basic" venders I believe have true machine code .EXEs. You might consider Java. It's better than Logo in this respect (distributing applications) but not really a .EXE (the Idea is to not have .EXEs) and be Machine independent. At a cost of being slower and less flexible than say Visual C++. Don't forget with MSWLogo your allowed to distribute MSWLogo with your application for free. You can make Icons and installation such that the user gets a single Icon which they click that loads MSWLogo and runs your application. -- =============================================================== George Mills (mills@softronix.com) http://www.softronix.com/ The www page contains some very powerful educational software.
