I've heard tell of, but never witnessed, a bug in Win95MW similar to what 
you're describing...
Try HIDETEXT and SHOWTEXT which will toggle VISIBLE?, and TRANSPARENT and 
OPAQUE which will toggle TRANSPARENT? for a Textbox's properties.
