By mathematics, do you mean pre- or post-computer mathematics? I.e. the 
mathematics developed up to the use of the computer or mathematics 
teaching that presupposes the capabilities of e-media. For instance, would 
the approach to teaching number pre-suppose the capability to carry out 
calculations within the medium, e.g. using a spreadsheet or expressions in 
Logo?
