Re: LOGO-L> colorado Logo Institute

I do not work with elementary school children directly, but I did
attend the last, and only, and also the first, Logo Workshop in
Colorado. The first summer Logo workshop in Colorado (that I know about)
was held just last summer. It concentrated on Microworlds. It was such
a success from a number of different perspectives that it was decided to
expand this year. This year there will be two workshops, one on Logo
using a number of platforms and emphasizing the internet and another
involing Lego Logo and other Logo robotic platforms. Mesa State College
will be the host and expects a large regional contingent to attend one or
the other. The workshop will be put on by the Logo Foundation and should
be similar in activities and quality to any others that they routinely
put on in Monnessota, New York, etc. My wife and daughter attended last
year and they were thrilled. Both are elementary school teachers.
In addition to the workshops, we try to show you a good time with
evening social events such as tours to a small Grand Canyon (the Colorado
National Monument), a National Forest (10,000 feet, 400 lakes), a raft
trip down the Colorado River, a barbeque, etc. Come on out and have some
fun while you learn more Logo.
