Bill and Richard, I worked on this project with year 5-6 kids in Melbourne last August. It was a sensation and I've been trying to run a Logo Exchange article all year. Adam Smith and Josie Hopkins of Melbourne were doing this nearly a year ago too. >Also it is an interesting reflection on School that many of them have banned >tamagotchi's. Your way is far more creative. Well, more than one school (in your corner of the world) that requires every student to have a laptop in school banned Tamagotchis by invoking the school's prohibition on bringing electronic devices to school. Nice bit of hypocrisy, huh? One teacher nearly had a heart attack when I suggested loud enough for all of her students to hear that the kids could make their own in MicroWorlds. You should have seen the look on the kids' faces and the subseqent whispered brainstorming. Send me your screen shots! -=Gary PS: BTW, how are you handling elapsed time and randomness in your "pets?" --------------------------------------------------------------- Please post messages to the Logo forum to logo-l@gsn.org.
