What an excellent project, thanks Richard.
I remember a "social education" activity where children had to look after a 
real egg for a week and write a report on their parenting skills as they went 
along. From memory a lot of the boys smashed their egg on the first day.

Also it is an interesting reflection on School that many of them have banned 
tamagotchi's. Your way is far more creative.

Are you going to share some of your outcomes with us on your web site ,
