Now, I was the first one to scream at the thought of a "Managing Inter-Personal Conflicts with HyperStudio" session at a not to be named computer conference as a massive abuse of multimedia, at least on it's face. But I fail to see the problem here. How is having a user manipulate objects in a computer game in order to reach the next level a 'Graphical user interface run amok' ? Also why are you taking the idea of a "code" so narrowly? A code doesn't have to be a sequence that can be typed in. What if the "code" is a sequence of colors, or a sequence of musical tones, or a pattern created out of F-pentominos? How would a user type those in on a keyboard? There is enough garbage out there to keep the GUP (Graphical User Police) busy for a long time, no need to create problems. regards -- Frank Caggiano caggiano@atlantic.net http://www.atlantic.net/~caggiano --------------------------------------------------------------- Please post messages to the Logo forum to logo-l@gsn.org.
